Kendo Nagasaki w/ Gorgeous George vs. Giant Haystacks
I couldn’t the promotion or show this was from, sorry.
Eight five minute rounds, two falls to a finish. I’ve always been fascinated by the old round system but up until the Heritage Cup I’ve never actually sat down at watched much of the classic stuff. So here we are then.
The first round starts with Haystacks in control using his size to knock around Nagasaki. Nagasaki eventually comes back and begins to wail on Haystacks. Along the way Nagasaki takes full advantage of every little rule. The second round see Nagasaki continuing his assault before Haystacks comes back, rips the mask, and forces Nagasaki to tap. Neither man waste any time going into the third round. Nagasaki once again comes out on top and cuts Haystacks open. The ref calls the match and awards the contest to Nagasaki due to a TKO.
This was a fun match. Neither do anything groundbreaking or extravagant but they have a nice match. The commentator was dull and the finish was kind of weak but it was a different time.
